“Novice Rider” is a division for riders ages 13 and up. This is an 8-obstacle course with a 5-minute time limit. Riders must be at the approximate stage described as “still gaining confidence at the lope/canter” or “not yet loping/cantering” in order to be considered a novice rider. If you have been riding for many years, you are likely not a novice rider.
